Our Van Life Adventure begins..
In the summer of 2022, MiChaventures traveled from the Philippines—began our van life journey in Germany, marking the start of an unforgettable European road trip. Over 31 days, we explored nine incredible countries and drove 7,710 kilometers across Europe in our camper van. This life-changing adventure allowed us to experience a wide range of cultures, stunning natural landscapes, and the unique freedom that van life offers. Van Life Europe: Our Journey Continues
In 2023, we continued our van life adventure and splitting our journey into two parts. During the first leg, we traveled through three beautiful countries—The Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Over the course of two weeks, we covered 2,346 kilometers in our camper van, exploring charming cities, scenic countryside, and hidden gems along the way. This chapter of our road trip gave us a deeper appreciation for slow travel and the cultural richness of Central Europe. Epic Balkan Road Trip Adventure
The second part of our 2023 van life adventure took us on a 6,300-kilometer journey across 11 countries in 34 days—an epic road trip through the heart of the Balkans and down to Greece. This was truly one of our favorite experiences on the road. We explored some of the most underrated countries in Europe, where authentic culture, stunning nature, and warm hospitality made every stop unforgettable. From historic towns to coastal escapes, each destination surprised us in the best way. Honestly, we can’t wait to go back and dive even deeper into these hidden gems. Unveiling Europe: Van Life Escapades
In 2024, we covered an incredible 11,000 kilometers over 53 days, taking our van life journey to new heights—literally and figuratively. We began by exploring the stunning Swiss Alps and the iconic Dolomites, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and scenic mountain roads. From there, we wandered through Italy’s most beautiful architectural cities, soaking in the rich culture, history, and cuisine. But the most unforgettable part of this adventure was our road trip through Scandinavia, all the way to the North Cape in Norway. There, we witnessed the magical Northern Lights, encountered reindeer and wild animals, and experienced the harsh but thrilling challenges of cold-weather van life. This was a truly epic chapter in our journey—one filled with natural wonders, cultural discoveries, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Unforeseen Turns: Our 2025 Journey
In 2025, our van life journey was set to take a bold new turn—with plans to begin our long-awaited African road trip. However, life had other plans. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were only able to spend two weeks in Germany before needing to return to the Philippines. While this year didn’t go as expected, it reminded us that travel isn’t always predictable—and that’s part of the journey, too. Though our plans were paused, our dream of exploring Africa by camper remains alive. Until then, we continue to stay hopeful and determined, knowing that the road will call us back when the time is right.
